Lou Bacon, M.Ed.

Lou Bacon, M.Ed. is grief guider with nearly 40 years of experience working in Hospice. The author of the book How to Love Someone to Death (second edition coming Spring 2025), holds a Master's degree of Education in Counseling from the University of New Hampshire. Lou is not a licensed therapist, but she worked as a Volunteer, Public Speaker, Volunteer Trainer, and Bereavement Group Leader for the Seacoast Hospice, Beacon Hospice, and Amedisys Hospice (NH) organizations for 28 years. Bacon has taught at the College and University level teaching Social Science courses including; Death & Dying, and Grief & Loss for 24 years. Lou offers guidance through the grief process, and recognizes that grief and loss are not only related to the death of a person, but also daily responses resulting from various situations. Lou's approach is designed to help you recover your emotional balance by learning how to embrace those hard emotions to better understand them and reach acceptance without fear.
